Human: Passive/active subwoofer enclosure. (work in progress). The IO Panel is made to be replacable, offering flexibility by leaving it open for modification. Rather than just a passive design, it can be enhanced with an internal amplifier by swapping out the io panel with mounting and holes for volume knobs etc. Make sure you print it strong enough, 3 perimeters and 20% at least.\r\n\r\nPrinted parts:\r\nmain enclosure\r\nTop\r\nFeet\r\nFeet pins\r\nPassive radiator\r\nIO Plate\r\n\r\nOther parts:\r\n14xM4 screws (everyone got laying around)\r\n2xM4 nuts (everyone got laying around)\r\nWires from terminal to subwoofer (everyone got laying around)\r\nSubwoofer driver (I salvaged one from Logitech PC speakers with defective PSU)\r\n6.5" Foam surround (this red one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313014806133)\r\n*optional* Amplifier with LPF (this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/312964648437)\r\n (as an external amp, it will not fit in the current IO)\r\n\r\nAssembly:\r\nIt is a straightforward process. The top is attached using glue, the feet should be a press-fit with the included pins, the passive radiator needs to be glued to the surround which is then glued to the enclosure. The terminals are just 2xM4 screws and nuts and the panel is held in by 12xM4 screws.\r\n\r\nOther:\r\nThis design features 12mm thick walls, making it suitable for MDF construction as well. The walls are also separate components, which makes it easy to print out plans for making it in MDF.\r\nI will likely make a V2 in the future with a better assembly than just glue and add different IO Panels for use with internal amps and batteries that can easily just be swapped out for different use cases. For now, I will leave it as is. If you want to make any changes to it, I can provide the fusion 360 project file.\r\n\r\nPlans for MDF: https://a360.co/38dFt1S (early work in progress)\r\nFusion 360 project file: https://a360.co/2PDqJmR (work in progress)
