I designed an external enclosure for my DVD burner, specifically tailored to house a SATA to USB adapter. This setup is perfect for converting a SATA connection into a convenient USB port. The adapter I used can be found at Inateck, where it's marketed as the UA1001, a USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA adapter. You can easily locate this product on Amazon. This enclosure is ideal for DVD drives measuring 170 mm in length, but please verify your drive's dimensions before printing to avoid any material waste.
