5.25" bay fan mount for 120mm fans
prusaprinters
As an owner of now over 12 year old PC case named Silverstone Raven RV03 I had this big issue with it that there was just no way to properly mount any watercooling radiators into it. So, I ditched the external radiator and decided to go for an internal mount by throwing out all the HDD bays it had in the 5.25" bays and free up the area for a 240mm radiator.Digged up the 120mm fan drawings and went to town in the Fusion360. Made two versions - one for single-piece and one that is printed in two pieces or should you just want to mount the fan or radiator from one side then there's the option.USE THE SPLIT/CUT TOOL to separate the two designs as they are uploaded in a single file and slicers think they are a single piece.I printed them without supports, 0.2 layer height and 0.42 layer width. For watercooling applications I recommend anything other than PLA or PLA+ as this can sag with the 40C or higher water temperatures. I used ABS but PETG can be used aswell. 40% infill and 5 walls, top and bottom layers are great for this functional piece.NOTE: parts in the pictures are the first revisions that I still use today, the uploaded model is updated. I fixed the design based on experience printing these and other parts I made for the computer.
