5.25 3.5 Computer Drawer

Warning! These enormous prints are incredibly large, I originally created them about a year or two ago to see how big of a print I could make on my FFCP and they've been cluttering up my computer ever since. Nowadays I discover complete computer drawers selling on eBay or Amazon for a pretty low price but I didn't notice any when I made these. I figured it's finally time to post these in case anyone wants to create their own. The dimensions, in millimeters (which I obtained from a CD-ROM drive), are as follows: DrawerBox 150 x 146 x 41 Drawer 150 x 139 x 36 Front 148 x 42 x 3 3.5 DrawerBox 105 x 101 x 25 3.5 Drawer 103 x 96 x 20 3.5 Front 101 x 25 x 3.5 The screw holes in the Drawer and Front are centered on the DrawerBox, with a 3-inch spacing to allow the use of a standard drawer pull sold at local hardware stores. For the 3.5 drawer, the holes have a 2-inch spacing. I had to build my own. What's nice about these prints is that you can create your own custom front that you can change without reprinting the rest. The thickness isn't critical but the screw holes should be centered on the front. The front is slightly larger and when closed, it hides both the drawer and box, giving a cleaner look. These prints are also great for getting rid of any ugly color filament since the inside prints aren't visible when closed. Most computers have clips with pins that fit into the side of whatever accessory installs in a 5.25 slot. You'll probably need to grind the ends of the pins down a bit so they won't scratch on the 5.25 drawer. I made the box sidewalls slightly thicker but mine still needed grinding. I didn't want to go any thicker because it would've made an already long print even longer. I also wanted a drawer with nice flat sides. For the 3.5 print, I've never seen any in this size that didn't use screws and were designed with this in mind.
