Quick frame brace for the Tevo Tarantula - in the style of the Prusa Mendel. You will need to have already secured the Y carriage rails to your base board. You can use something like these: - Thingirob brackets (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1457449) - My own brace (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2667150) You will also need: - 2x 5/16 threaded rods - unlike other printers, there is not enough clearance at the top, so 36.5cm is probably the maximum length you can use for these rods (use a rotary tool or a chop saw) - 4x 5/16 nyloc nuts - these are for the rod ends - 8x 5/16 nuts - 8x 5/16 washers - 4x M5 wood screws Installation notes: - Build the bottom foot first, install all the nuts and washers. Then tighten them fully but take care not to crush and break it. - Install the nuts and washers for the top frame mount, but don't tighten them yet. - Attach the top frame mount to the aluminium frame using the M4 bolts and T-nuts - Tighten the nuts on the top frame mount. Make sure that the bottom foot is flat on the base board. - Position the bottom foot. It should push against the frame tightly, hold it in place, then screw it down with the timber screws. Do not overtighten the nuts! This will crush and deform the mounts. These brackets are not load bearing; they just need to be stiff enough to prevent the Z gantry from oscillating as the hot end moves.
