This is a 5/16-18 threaded bolt and nut, featuring individual control over the OD and ID thread lengths for customization. The initial threads are not machined precisely due to printer clearance limitations. However, improved versions have been made closer to machined thread dimensions. Future projects may involve creating bolts and nuts in different sizes and metrics. Using Slic3r, adjust the extrusion multiplier to ensure successful threading of printed parts onto machined ones. To create a desired thread length with the single-thread files, translate each thread up or down by 0.0555" (18 pitch). For the ID thread, stack threads until reaching the desired length and then combine them into a nut or other object with a hole matching the OD diameter. Similarly, for the OD thread, create a bolt with an OD slightly smaller than the thread's OD, then subtract the thread to form the threads.
