Experimental archaeologist Caroline Jeffra crafts a pot using the wheel-throwing technique, yielding a unique piece. Archaeologist Kelly Papastergiou employs the DAVID SLS-3 structured light scanner for precise 3D scanning of the artifact. The DAVID-camera captures texture details in native resolution. Initially, the OBJ file boasts an impressive 6080151 vertices at a fusion resolution of 0.0304mm (vertex spacing), translating to a massive 903MB file size. To facilitate online sharing, the file is streamlined to 630004 vertices and reduced to 174MB, making it suitable for publication.
