A special lamp shade awaits tech enthusiasts, geeks, and Star Wars fans! And 3D printing aficionados too! My test prints were executed using: Macbook Pro with 16GB RAM and Intel Core i7 at 2.9GHz Simplify3D software Please heed these tips carefully: If your build volume is under 30cm on the z-axis, you'll need to print the split version. My personal print settings are as follows: - Layer height: 0.16mm (0.2mm works too and is faster) - Infill percentage: 5% - Bottom layers: 10 - Top layers: 10 - Outlines: 2 - Print speed: 35 - 40mm/s - Z-Offset: -1mm for a flat surface Printing time will vary depending on your machine and settings. Printing hollow can significantly reduce printing time. Recommended material is PLA in black matte finish. Supports: - You might want to use supports for the top hole. If adhesion is good, you could try printing it with the small hole facing down like I did. - Some structures may sag a bit, but that's intentional for a grungy look. I didn't use any supports.
