I've been going through a bit of a nolstalgia trip concerrning retro gaming recently (after discovering a shedload of Commodore 64 music on YouTube) and this gift box was the logical conclusion. Based on the old joystick controllers you used to get, this is a little different from them, a) because it's a gift box and not a functional controller (hence the thicker bottom) and b) it's a homage, not a direct copy.
