$5.00MRH Control Sticks, for Helicopter, Fully Articulated Type
myminifactory
This model was created as training materials explaining the operation of a main rotor head with full articulation, which was developed previously. Various methods of actual helicopter control exist, and systems such as hydraulic, servo, and computer are used, making the control equipment highly complex. This model reproduces two control levers: "Collective Pitch Stick" and "Cyclic Feathering Stick," along with all mechanical links and levers. The quantitative relationship between stick operating angles and rotor blade pitch has not been verified; for an actual motion demonstration, refer to the following video: https://youtu.be/SHZq7fj3HLI Next, a model titled "Helicopter Power Train" will be developed using the following components in the near future: (1) A 3D printed turboshaft engine with radial compressor and turbine - https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-turboshaft-engine-with-radial-compressor-and-turbine-75203 (2) A main gear box for helicopters using full metal bearing type - https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-main-gear-box-for-helicopter-full-metal-bearing-type-75354 (3) A fully articulated type main rotor head - https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-main-rotor-head-for-helicopter-fully-articulated-type-75364 (4) And this model Assembly Manual (PDF, 17 pages): The assembly manual includes "Parts List," "After Printing Treatment," and "Assembly Procedure" based on the standard skill level of filing, drilling, tapping, and painting. Download files include STL Files (22 items), with "ws" indicating "With Support," a special design feature. Purchase parts information: Screws and other micro screws M1.4x3.5L - 5 ea - Direct screw-in to a 1 mm diameter hole (No nut). Other sizes of screws can be found in the assembly manual. Total net print time: Approximately 27 hours - Estimated based on PLA material, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 40% infill, and no raft or support. Note that actual print parameters may vary depending on your experience. 3D printing settings: Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill - Depending on your experience. However, for parts with gears, small shafts, and thin sections, a 100% infill is recommended. My models were printed using an "idbox" with a 0.4mm nozzle and 1.75 PLA material.
