Manticoras are lesser relatives of sphinxes, smaller and more bestial than their wiser kin. A manticora preys on living flesh, and it lives to kill despite its intelligence and cunning. It will eat anything, bones and all, leaving no trace of its prey; even the most bloodthirsty creatures of Tyveria will give a wide berth to a manticora. Some manticoras form small hunting packs, which dare attack even Vampyr squads. A manticora looks like a large, spiked lion with a fanged humanoid face and a barbed tail. It claws and bites enemies on its front and sides, whipping enemies on its back with its tail.  Manticoras are a common sight in Tyveria. Either free, wild creatures seeking food in the shape of meat or subject to a Maghyr, Manticoras maintain a strong sense of survival and control their own actions. Even the strongest Maghyri know it is best to let them be. When in the wild, they are known to form packs ofbloodthirsty foes. They tend to hid in warm caves, preferably in the more dry reaches of the caves, or roam the wilds in their crepuscular patterns.
