Bearings are one of the key components of jet engines.This time, I tried to create the bearing teaching material using the turbofan engine as an example.The large turbofan engine (2 spool type) currently in use consists of 5 main bearings.All 5 bearing models were created to explain the type, shared load, and role of each location.Not only the entire display but also each model can be picked up and turned by finger. A. Features of this model ① Create all 5 pieces and prepare an display stand (Refer to Document [A]) ② Follow the real parts composition (about 1/4 scale) ③ Prepare the jig that can be rotated by reproducing the relative position of each part ④ Create commentary ducument to compare the roles and characteristics of each bearing component and each bearing (see Document [B]) ⑤ For roller bearings, the assembly tool is available because the roller easily comes off.  If you have the grease for plastic, you can apply small amount of it to pockets of rollers to hold of them in position. B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 16 pages) The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)". C. Purchase Parts 1. Steel Balls (φ8 & 6mm) are used for 2 Ball Bearings. 2. Screws M1.4, M2, M3 "Tapping" is required for M2, M3 Screws. D. STL file Total STL files are 42 items including the tools. “ws” of last 2 digits of file name means “With Support” special designed. E. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 36 HR - (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support) Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience. F. Printing settings Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience. My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA. I do hope your success!!
