$5.00Jet Engine Component ; Axial Turbine
myminifactory
I have successfully created a detailed model of various jet engine types. To accommodate the limitations of my 3D printer, I simplified the basic components. Next, I expanded each component and built the actual model that provides structural explanations. This time, the Axial Turbine model is featured. The following elements are included: (1) Nozzle Guide Vane Segmented, Air Cooled (2) Blade "Christmas Tree Root" with outer/inner shrouds held by Rivets (3) Disk featuring labyrinth air seals and a drive flange (4) Turbine Case with an inside cooling cavity and honeycomb type seal (5) Turbine Case Cooling Duct (Active Clearance Control = ACC) with partial duct only (6) Assembly Jig The structural interrelationship between these elements is accurately reproduced. Downloadable files include STL Files (14 items), where "ws" in the file name represents "With Support," a special design. Also included are PDF(ZIP) format photos of assemblies and purchase information for parts. These parts include AL Pipe φ3 dia. for Blade Retainers, screws, nuts, and assembly points that require standard skills like drilling, tapping, filing, tightening, painting, and gluing. Total net print time is approximately 30 hours (estimated with PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 40% infill, no raft, and support). Note: Actual printing parameters may be adjusted based on experience. My models were printed using "idbox" with a 0.4 nozzle and 1.75 PLA.
