All the credit goes to the guys from Evil Mad Scientist that went viral a few weeks ago with their new AxiDraw plotting machine. I just did my own version so parts are printable, and I'm using Arduino instead of an EBB board. Firmware can be found at https://github.com/misan/grbl-servo. To create GCode files, use the Inkscape extension available at https://github.com/misan/laser-gcode-exporter-inkscape-plugin. Send files to the Arduino with Universal GCode Sender. Update: I've added a convenient pen-holder design contributed by Cesar Augusto Fernandez, and you can view Onshape files here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/236f46681d1cbe31f6d52db0 (you'll need an account to export parts to STL).
