4x5 Microchess set
thingiverse
Microchess is a Chess variant invented by Glimne in 1997. It uses a small 4x5 board, with a reduced number of pieces. There is no queen starting on the board, and only a single pawn. If you would like to purchase a copy, I sell sets at: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1366900922/4x5-microchess-set-chess-variant-with-a The rules of chess apply, with the following differences: Pawns have no double-move option. There is no castling. Pawns can promote to any of the four pieces as in chess, including queen. The pieces for this set can be found at: https://www.printables.com/model/329127-travel-chess-pieces-with-6mm-magnets The pieces and board are intended to be magnetized with 6x3mm magnets. There is a storage tray with a magnetic latch. The size of the board is: 5.8" x 4.8" x 1.2" If you only want the board and no storage, print “Microchess board.stl”. Otherwise, print the other files. The top and bottom are glued together. The board requires a multi-material printer. You can find a set of rules and an online version here: https://greenchess.net/rules.php?v=microchess
