My printer hums along thanks to its single 24-volt DC power supply unit. To obtain 12 volts for my fans and lighting, I utilize a minuscule step-down converter. This diminutive component delivers a consistent voltage output and is incredibly simple and precise to adjust. By using these converters, I am able to tweak the voltage for both fans and lights separately with ease. To accomplish this feat, I constructed a bespoke 4-converter board from scratch. This versatile setup accommodates one electronics cooling fan, one hotend cooling fan, one set of lights, and one spare component. One photo clearly shows the converter board nestled beside an A4988 stepper driver for comparison's sake.
