<p>I loved Mauf's original protection case, but after a few months of being lugged around in my pockets daily through around 30,000km of travel, I also experienced the lid rails starting to peel away.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In this remix I slapped together a few project and loft commands in F360 to add a bit more meat to the thinnest part of the model while keeping the slopes fairly mild to avoid overhangs. I ended up with the thinnest point being around 250% thicker, and the curved geometry of the sides should help keep a few torque forces off the upper half of the rails under heavy use.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I was able to re-use the original lids, but they seemed a bit snug. This may be due to the lids being printed in a dodgy rainbow silk filament with iffy tuning, and the body being printed in recycled PETG. I did notice a slight change in the geometry curvature from having to import and convert a mesh body, nonetheless a few passes with a deburring tool got my original lids sliding smoothly.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I'm looking forward to many months more of daily use.
