4S 18650 pack for DJI FPV goggles
thingiverse
I built a custom 4S 18650 pack for my DJI FPV goggles using spare batteries from old 2S FatShark packs. Those 3200mah cells just weren't enough juice to keep the goggles powered up, so I took them apart and created a new pack that should last much longer. Check out the pictures if you're interested in making your own, but be warned: I'm no electrical engineer, so follow my lead at your own risk - you might end up destroying your goggles or burning down your house. To keep everything secure, I used hot glue to hold the wires in place at the ends of the batteries. However, for added strain relief, I opted for E6000 on the wires coming out of the box. This durable adhesive ensures everything stays put, even under heavy use. I also applied E6000 to attach the cap to the main body of the case, making sure it's securely fastened. When you print this design, be prepared to use an exacto knife to release the strap clip. I deliberately designed it this way so the goggles stay firmly on your head, even when you take them off or stow them in a bag. Initially, I printed the case in TPU (it came out blue), but I wouldn't recommend that approach - while it stays put during use, it tends to fall off when removed. On the other hand, printing with black PLA yields a more secure fit that can still be easily detached if needed. PETG might even be an improvement, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.
