I used to have a 16mm ball mount attached to a cell phone holder, designed to be mounted around the driver's side vent. It appears that 16mm might be a widely used diameter for basic ball mounts. A straightforward ball mount and the one I'm currently using are now included in this setup. When printing the ball, consider using ABS or PC materials. If I were you, I'd opt for printing it with PC material.
