4mm bits holder (Wowstick)
thingiverse
This box securely holds 4mm hexagonal bits in place with minimal insertion force thanks to cleverly designed "hex fingers". After putting significant effort into finding an optimal shape, I'm pleased to say that it works surprisingly well even with the relatively stiff PLA material. I hope you'll find this design just as satisfying. The cover can be easily snapped under the base to create more clearance when using tools. Four of the bits included with the Xiaomi Wowstick are longer than the others, so I've kept the cover at a lower height to conserve space. To accommodate these longer bits, simply remove them and lay them flat along the bottom before closing the box. To prevent the bits from slipping out while closing the box, I've raised the edges around the perimeter. If you're concerned about the hinge snapping, don't worry – I've added a reinforced version of the cover to provide extra support. While I haven't printed it yet, I'm hopeful that this modification will make a big difference. Printing the cover in a more flexible material like PET-G may also help alleviate any issues with the hinge.
