This is a PCB mod that replaces the original PCB on top of the print head. It replaces the 51-pin FFC ribbon cable port with mirrored JST connectors so that you can run cables down the back of the printer, replacing the FFC entirely. The schematic and board were designed in Kicad. You should be able to export them into another designer if you so choose. I sent the file package out to OSH Park for fabrication and they were able to get me 3 of these for $12 USD (shipping included). BOM: JST-PH 2.0mm Female Housing Socket, 2 pin (PH-2Y) Qty 2 JST-XH 2.54mm Female Housing Socket, 2 pin (XH-2Y) Qty 6 JST-XH 2.54mm Female Housing Socket, 3 pin (XH-3Y) Qty 2 JST-XH 2.54mm Female Housing Socket, 4 pin (XH-4Y) Qty 2 You'll just have to solder the pins to the correct footprints. They're labeled on the board. Then it's simply a matter of swapping with the original on the print head.
