This is a one-time use seal driver designed for GM 4L60E transmission press-in filter seal applications. I previously had a damaged unit when removing the filter, prompting me to create this custom design. The flexible nature of this tool allows it to move freely without compromising the seal itself. To assemble the driver, simply round the inner lip with a file while leaving the lower part intact. A quick clean-up is all that's needed for the lower section. Due to its recessed design and tight fit, the pump requires a precise top edge, which must be crisp to ensure proper function. Sizing may require one or two prints before achieving optimal performance. It's essential to remember that the inner lip should remain loose to prevent seal damage. This driver functions seamlessly with the transmission installed in the vehicle. The backing washer only needs to be approximately the same size as the outer part of the driver, but slightly smaller is acceptable. I hope this information proves helpful to someone.
