If you've ever struggled to open one of these, you know exactly why I created this solution, even with factory tools it's a challenge to get them open.\r\n\r\nWhat you need to make this work is some nails cut down to about 11mm in length, slide the collar all the way down to the center of the oval openings, slip the nails into the holes on the collar, install a piston ring compressor (hose clamps could also do the job), tighten the compressor gently until the snap ring is compressed, and then pry out the drive.
