I'm not exactly skilled at selecting names for my creations, but here's another creature bust design I sculpted in Zbrush. The main inspirations come from my passion for Blizzard games, particularly Starcraft and Diablo design. Zbrush Process I like to use Zbrush as a tool to create concepts and sketches because it gives me the freedom to explore different shapes and ideas. During this sculpt, I started with a Dynamesh sphere, added several subdivision levels to work better on the head and brain lines. I want to highlight how helpful Zremesh was in creating a nice topology for the head, allowing me to sculpt in an organic way without scratches or polygon drawbacks. Optimization for Printing Time and Material When the model was detailed enough and I was satisfied with my idea, I decided to optimize some shapes and lines to reduce printing time and material. I performed five subtract operations on the internal part of the model to greatly reduce printing time and material usage inside the mesh. To achieve this, I appended a cylinder, transformed it into a cone, duplicated the subtool four times, scaled the primitives carefully positioning all the cones in their correct places. This technique worked well for me, saving several hours of printing even with a relatively small-scale model (a picture shows the bottom of the model to explain the result of the boolean operation). The outcome was that only a few supports were generated on the neck part.
