4E3D Main Board Cover with I2C - RB3 and RBB3
thingiverse
This is an updated version of the 4E3D main board cover, designed specifically for use with the I2C expansion card that integrates Skip-Sense detection and correction technology. This modified cover can be utilized on any printer equipped with the new board and works seamlessly in conjunction with the back-plate mounting and upgrade systems previously published. The new board cover features a dedicated location to securely fasten the I2C expansion card to the front of the board. Two fiber washers, similar to those used as heated bed bolt washers, are required under the PCB at the location where each bracket is situated to provide the correct standoff from the cover and maintain parallel alignment. The STL file provided is scaled and oriented in Cura for printing purposes. Print Settings: Printer: Rigidbot 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0 Infill: 22% Notes: To achieve optimal resolution on indented letters, print the first layer at a slow speed of approximately 15-20 mm/sec. When printing with PLA, start with a bed temperature of 60C and drop it to 45C at 0.5mm height to prevent warping during the print process. For part removal, wait until the part is completely cool before using a chisel (bevel side down) to gently pry up around the edges; after application in several places, the part should pop off the bed.
