This part is designed for securing a 4cm fan (with a diameter of 3.2cm measured from the center of mounting holes) onto your printer. It helps maintain optimal temperatures during print jobs by preventing collisions between the fan and vertical bars, ensuring smooth printing progress. The suggested fan is a 12V model that comes with Makergear hotend kits. When using a Rostock printer, ensure the printed part doesn't warp, as it will serve this purpose. If needed, drill out the mounting hole and refer to attached pictures for proper fan positioning. Connect the fan wires to D9 on your RAMPS board. For direct Pronterface control, use M106 S(0-255) to activate with power level S (255 being full power), or M107 to switch it off. Alternatively, enable cooling in Slic3r's Filament Settings>Cooling for enhanced efficiency during print jobs.
