4BDN jetunit stators and nozzles for 35mm impellor
thingiverse
I drew inspiration for these designs from 3D printing's rapid advancement past conventional technologies. Rapidly advancing technology is disrupting what many people consider tried and true. I created jetunit stators with the original intention of pairing them with FJD series 35mm intakes designed by others. The nozzles on these stators have a spherical fitting at the end because this minimises frontwash and improves turning radius. The stator vanes are variable pitch from high at the centre to low at the tip for efficient operation. I'm currently working on a jetboat hull here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4051537 which has a compatible intake. The FJD intakes, with their own nozzles, stators and impellors are located here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2826297-FJD-3D-printable-Jet-Drives. You can make your own mind up about whether you prefer fixed pitch vanes or the ones I've designed. My 4BDN design thread is available here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3441451-4BDN-FJD-35mm-stator-alternative. These stators are designed to take a 13mmOD x 5mmID x4mm long ceramic bearing and a 10mm outer diameter grease seal, along with a 5mm stainless steel shaft.
