4Axis Foam Cutter

4Axis Foam Cutter

I've printed this and it's working fine now. Although you'll need to position your bow rest on the vertical axis by yourself, predrilling and inserting a metal hook-screw should do the trick. Designed for Nema17 on all axes, 8mm verticals and 25mm horizontals because they're free for me, and M8 threaded rods with M8-nuts pressed into the carriages. I'm experiencing binding issues likely due to misaligned bearings and misaligned nuts, bent M8 rods. I'm considering redesigning it for bushings instead. Since the photo was taken, I've moved the drivers inside the case and use DB9 and ethernet cables for motors. The 5th axis remains unused (17/03/25). Non-plastic parts include: Four LM8UU bearings. Eight 8mm verticals as high as you want (600mm in the pic). Four to eight LM25UU bearings (I use eight). Twenty-five millimeter horizontals as long as you want (700mm in the pic). Nema17 motors. Stepper drivers. M8 nuts and threaded rods. M3 screws for assembly. Twenty-two millimeter skateboard-type bearings for passive sides.
