More than just a CAD model, designed to be operational and designed according to the disk loading and propulsive efficiency of 1960s NASA ducted fan studies which suggested that with a disk loading of 40 lbs/ft2, a propulsive efficiency of 6 lbf/hp could be achieved. Many more details to come. The initial design uses a Horizon 5 kW/kg PEM fuel cell with a liquid hydrogen tank constructed from magnesium and insulated with 170 kg/m3 Nanopore insulation with a thermal conductivity of 0.007 W-mK providing a boil off rate of 10% per hour, tank sized for 3.5 hours of flight time using 62 kilowatts to drive two 820mm ducted fans using Scimo 10 kW/kg electric motors. Jetpack could be built with today's technology for $35,000/pc and certified under experimental/personal use category.I did not model the mannequin and take no credit for it.
