Lid The lid has a slightly flattened conic shape with a thickened edge. It ends with a knob (decorated with incisions) under which a handle is attached. The handle has a small button near the ring attachment area and it is also decorated with incised lines, as well as the lid’s body itself. This type of lid with a knob and a handle is typical for the Orăştiei Mountains, and especially for Sarmizegetusa Regia. It was used for covering containers. Some of them bear micro-inscriptions on their knob (graffiti).
