45 Degree Table Saw Jig Thing

45 Degree Table Saw Jig Thing

I made this tool for a friend who needed help making picture frames on a table saw. The challenge was to create four pieces of wood cut at a precise 45-degree angle. To accomplish this task, I utilized my Holzmann table saw, but unfortunately, the included angle jig wasn't up to par. This prompted me to design and print an alternative in Fusion 360 using my Anet A8 3D printer. The printing process took approximately 17 hours, so I opted for a brim to prevent warping. The slot on this tool must fit snugly onto the table saw's 20mm wide slot, so be prepared to sand it down until it fits perfectly on your machine. As you can see from the picture, we secured the wood piece in place with double-sided tape; alternatively, a clamp could have been used. I'd love for someone to enlighten me as to whether this tool has a specific technical name.
