45 Degree Helix Gears (right-angle drive)

This is a customizer for creating pairs of helical gears that combine to form right angle gear transmissions with 45 degree helix angles. The customizer calculates the "module" (tooth size) based on specified tooth counts and center separations between input and output gears, ensuring seamless press-fit onto round shafts. The small black gears shown were an early proof of concept with no chamfering, resulting in pointy edges that feel surprisingly sharp to the touch. Chamfering greatly improves the gear's appearance and functionality, creating a more polished finish. A geared single motor Z-axis assembly was designed using this customizer for a Voxel Ox 3D Printer, as seen in the attached picture.
