45-degree Bookshelf Corner adapter
thingiverse
This Thing is designed for adapting IKEA-style bookshelves or cupboards to link up at a 45-degree angle without revealing any seams at the front. Typically, this process involves creating two connections to form a 90-degree corner with a narrow shelf positioned at 45 degrees in the corner. The brackets were printed using three walls and 10% infill. To secure the bottom bracket, screw it into one side of the cabinet (using two screws). Then, place a screw on the opposite side of the cabinet in the correct position. Next, lower the non-attached shelf to fit snugly into the wedge-shaped recess on the bracket. The bottom bracket is symmetrical, making it suitable for use on either side of the cabinet. The top bracket can be mirrored to achieve left and right symmetry. The receding edge of the wedge-shaped recess is positioned at the top, ensuring that it remains invisible from the front of the cabinet. To print the top bracket without supports, attach it to a plate upside-down. When installing the top bracket, screw it into place from above or, if desired, use the bottom bracket again just below the edge for concealment.
