45 deg drill guide
thingiverse
I use pocket hole jigs a lot for wood joinery because they're super useful. There are also customizable versions available that let you choose any angle you need. I've had problems using them to drill harder materials like metal or ceramic, though. When there's no guide, the drill bit will eventually start shaving off PLA and if I have the metal guide, it just gets scratched. That's why I thought trying this version with bearings might help provide some guidance for the drill while keeping the mechanism completely frictionless. I know I might be over-engineering this a bit! I've designed it specifically for 6000 type bearings (two are required) that I had lying around. The only non-printable part in this design is the bearings, but I've included a 6mm drill bit adapter and will create other sizes too. UPDATE: Unfortunately, my printed version doesn't work as well as I hoped. The sawdust just gets into the bearings instead of coming out the designated escape hole. Keep that in mind if you're thinking about printing this design.
