Support Update v2.0, February 3rd, 2020 (File: "support petg 2.0.stl") This update includes modifications to the wheel's design, allowing for adjustable blade depth. In previous versions, the nut was free-moving and relied on glue to stay in place, which posed a risk of displacement due to cutting pressure. To address this issue, I added a thickness to the wheel to keep it stationary during cutting and made ergonomic improvements. Previous Version: v1.0, February 25th, 2020 The original cutter was designed for 45-degree cuts to create passepartout frames for photographs or prints displayed in a frame. The main body of the cutter was printed with PLA, while the support for the blade and wheel, along with its supports, were printed with PETG for enhanced mechanical resistance. Assembly Requirements: To assemble the pieces after printing, you will need: * 1 countersunk screw (3mm x 20mm) with corresponding nut * 2 countersunk head screws (3mm x 10mm) * Interchangeable blade with a 45-degree profile (available on Amazon) High precision printing is recommended to ensure all components fit together seamlessly. Assembly Instructions: 1. Press the countersunk head of the 3mm x 20mm screw into the recess of the blade holder, applying gentle pressure to prevent wheel rotation. 2. Insert the blade and press it slightly to secure it in place. 3. Place the nut into the shaped hole of the wheel and attach it to the screw inserted in step 1. 4. Screw the wheel onto the screw using the nut. 5. Attach the wheel supports using the molded pin, ensuring proper alignment with the two thin channels. 6. Secure the wheel supports with the 2 screws (3mm x 10mm), making sure the wheel fits snugly into its supports. 7. If the wheel becomes dislodged while tightening the support screws, loosen the screws and restart from step 5.
