I'm creating an exact replica of a .44-40 WCF dummy round based on Wikipedia measurements for use in my custom-made Winchester 1873 rifle. This iconic cowboy gun is renowned for its rugged design and reliability, making it an ideal choice for my project. I've made significant improvements to the shell, shrinking the bullet's size by a noticeable margin, which should enhance accuracy when used in conjunction with my replica rifle. To further refine my creation, I've uploaded images of the empty cartridge. This allows me to carefully analyze every detail and make any necessary adjustments to ensure a precise fit within the rifle. My ultimate goal is to build a fully functional Winchester replica that not only looks authentic but also accurately replicates the loading and ejecting process of live ammunition. While I'm not creating an actual firearm, my project aims to capture the essence and functionality of this historic piece of American history.
