My father-in-law Steve came up with this idea out of necessity because his motherboard only accepted 60mm M.2 SSDs, but he had a 42mm one lying around. He figured an extender would easily cost $10 on the market, so why not make one for just a penny? I simply built it to the specs that he provided, no questions asked.
