This is a sleek, minimalist mount designed specifically for Yi Technology dome cameras, including both the 720p and 1080p versions. These cameras offer great value for their price and are extremely easy to use and set up. I've had mine for several years now, and they're stationed in our barn to monitor our sheep during lambing season. After some time, I decided that the cobbled-together wooden mounts they had before needed upgrading, so I came up with this solution. The mount connects directly to the twist-lock bayonet on the bottom of the camera and is designed to zip-tie onto a round pipe with a diameter of around 42-43mm (1 and 2/3 inches). It can be mounted top or bottom, or with some modification, it could even be used on a vertical pipe. If you tighten the zip-ties securely, it should stay firmly in place. I wrapped the pipe with a single layer of gorilla tape and lined the cup of the mount with stair traction tape to ensure that it doesn't move around. This positioning allows for a mostly-unobstructed view and seems to improve WiFi connectivity compared to my previous mount, which had the cameras almost touching the pipe.
