40x20 Blower Mount Printrbot Fan Shroud

With this shroud, you can securely fasten a 40mm x 20mm blower fan. This represents a substantial upgrade over the original fan. It can be paired with another fan shroud mounted below it. The blower's angled design allows for easy installation in conjunction with the 90-degree extruder configuration required when using the new and improved Printrbot Plastic Extruder. This prints rapidly and uses minimal material, eliminating the need for supports during printing. The shroud I utilized is available here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:740810, along with a spacer for smaller shrouds. You can also add a second blower using this design http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:911720, which utilizes the same size blower. TIPS: Install the bracket and fan shroud before mounting the blower, taking note of the hidden screw. To install, thread the fasteners through the mount first, as you'll need to tilt them slightly. The allen wrench just clears the duct opening. Mounting the extruder 90 degrees also conceals a screw, but you can access it with a ball-end hex key. Edits: Version 3 tilts the bracket up by a couple of degrees. It also shortens the bracket's height. Version 4 is now a solid, manifold design with no internal cavities. Version 6 increases clearance for the nut and improves air duct performance. Version 9 cleans up the overall design.
