This is a 40mm test cube featuring a 15mm circle and square inside, designed to assess tool path strategies in slicer software and actual print performance. Observe and listen as the print head moves, stopping at 30-50% print status to inspect print quality and evaluate infill performance. The screenshot displays Simplify3D with 15% Honeycomb infill and 1mm retraction lift settings. Background: I encountered recurring issues where the nozzle collided with previously printed lines within the same layer at a rapid 100 mm/s print speed, specifically with "Grid" and "Triangles" infill patterns. This problem also arose in large flat prints, where the head traveled to new areas of the layer and hit existing prints. While slower speeds would resolve this issue, I purchased a delta printer for its high-speed capabilities. Moreover, optimizing tool path strategies is crucial to prevent intra-layer line crossing.
