This is a versatile base for gaming miniatures that I crafted with 40mm in mind for my Warhammer 40K armies, yet it's adaptable enough to pair well with any miniature collection. What sets it apart is its modularity - the model consists of 13 distinct rocks that can be strategically removed to yield diverse bases. To create these varied bases, I leverage MeshMixer. Simply click on a rock to select it, press "E" to choose the entire shell, and then delete it. Alternatively, you can separate the shells, pick out only the desired ones, recombine them, and export to STL. (Please refer to the photo for details.) You may also employ NetFabb or MeshLab - or your preferred mesh editor - to achieve similar results. Given its numerous permutations, this base offers countless opportunities to create unique looks. If you take it a step further by painting and basing your models, the possibilities become virtually limitless.
