An upgraded part cooling fan housing designed for Raise3D's Pro2 printers is now available. The original 35mm fan proved to be unreliable, lasting only about four months in my workplace before it started malfunctioning. I was running it almost continuously during that time, which may have contributed to its premature failure. Nevertheless, I decided to upgrade to a larger fan and an improved cooling system. The housing is essentially identical to the stock 35mm housing, but with several key modifications. The fan opening has been enlarged and focusing channels have been added at the output to direct airflow more effectively onto the part being printed. This fan duct is a direct replacement for the original one and does not cause any interference with other components. Although it does come close to the heater block, even when printed with PLA, it does not melt. If desired, you can apply a thin layer of RTV sealant to the duct nearest the block as an added precaution. The larger fan and focusing channels work together seamlessly to improve print quality, and I have definitely noticed a significant improvement in my prints since installing this upgraded housing. Only the model for the left fan duct is provided. To obtain the right one, simply mirror the left design. To print this housing successfully, you will need to use supports, but it's recommended that you refrain from using them for the micro duct portion.
