Human: 40MM NATO (RD40X1/7) to JSP Force8 Filter Adapter ============================================= This innovative design for a 40 MM NATO (RD40x1/7), gas mask thread, to JSP Force 8 filter adapter offers a unique solution. Users can now clock the position of the bayonet/cartridge separate from the RD40x1/7 threads. This adapter makes any RD40x1/7 threaded full face CBRN masks compatible with JSP Force 8 line of chemical, combination, and particle filter cartridges. By expanding greater cross compatibility of respirators and filters to other manufacturer models, this adapter helps mitigate PPE shortages. Recommended that after assembly, user apply thread locker on the inner shell threaded base assembly. Since the JSP mating geometry OD is larger than RD40x1/7, a three piece construction was required to achieve the same functionality of previous designed line of RD40x1/7 clocking adapters. Disclaimers/Risks: ============ 1.) Use Proper Gaskets It's essential to ensure that gasket on the JSP filter side and gasket in the RD40x1/7 mask or female adapter are properly placed. The JSP line of respirators has the bayonet/filter mating surfaces interestingly reversed. 2.) Perform Proper Negative Pressure Test Follow established SSPs for further guidance. Don your respirator, adjust straps till taught against face, ensuring no obstructions around the periphery of the seal against face either due from hair, facial hair, or otherwise. Exhale deeply, cover all inhalation ports, and inhale deeply. The mask should suck tightly against your face without any air leakages. 3.) Use At Own Risk – Temporarily Solution Only Until Supply Chain Normalizes 3D printing materials are not resistant to many solvents, are water soluble, and degrade when exposed to chemicals, heat, and UV/sunlight. 3D printing this adapter is only a temporarily ad-hoc solution against biological contagions. Perform hot nozzle pass on all exterior surfaces, and highly recommended users apply a thin layer of polyurethane clear coat on all exterior surfaces. Dev.
