Human: 40MM NATO (RD40x1/7) to ENHA Rockman 7300 Series Filter Adapter ======================================================= This prototype design converts a 40MM NATO (RD40x1/7") gas mask thread into an ENHA Rockman 7300 series filter adapter. This adapter makes any RD40x1/7 threaded full face CBRN masks compatible with the ENHA Rockman 7300 series line of chemical, combination, and particle filter cartridges to mitigate PPE shortages by expanding cross compatibility between respirators and filters. Part Description: ============= 40MM_NATO_TO_ENHA_ROCKMAN_FILTER_ADAPTER_GEN1.stl Initial model release. Disclaimers/Risks: =============== 1.) Use Proper Gaskets Ensure the gasket is properly installed on the filter side, but also use Teflon tape on threads. This will provide a proper seal between assembly joints. 2.) Perform Proper Negative Pressure Test Don your respirator and adjust straps until they are taught against your face, ensuring no obstructions around the periphery of the seal. Exhale deeply, cover all inhalation ports, and inhale deeply. The mask should suck tightly against your face without air leakages. Re-test if adjustments are required at gasket interfaces. 3.) Use At Own Risk – Temporarily Solution Only Until Supply Chain Normalizes This adapter is only a temporary solution due to 3D printing materials' limitations. Perform hot nozzle passes on exterior surfaces and apply a polyurethane clear coat for repeated sterilization and reduced fomite transmission. Dev.
