40mm laser air assist attachment for Sovol SO-2 10w V2

Version 2, here we go! This is the second version of my design of an air assist for my Sovol SO-2, though it could probably be applied to other 40mm laser modules (some tinkering to height may be required if yours is a fixed focus of a different distance than mine). I wasn't happy with the clamp-on method I used in my first design, because it blocked the view and required adjusting of my Y limit switch to compensate for the thickness. I also wanted something that fit more securely and smoothly. This shield is designed at 38mm tall, to replace and match the height of the stock eye shield on the SO-2 10w model, so focusing distance doesn't need to change. The air path has been modified from the former side path to a more traditional conical flow along the path of the laser, hopefully keeping the lens cleaner while also providing better overall performance. The design is separated into two parts for easier printing, both should be printed upside down (as oriented). There are versions of the main body- one solid without windows, and one with windows which you can easily put pieces of translucent acrylic in if you so choose (I used 3mm dark red translucent). Supports are highly recommended, especially on the windowed version. The lid should be super glued on to seal up the airflow path more tightly, and there are small alignment holes you can put a piece of filament in to help guide during gluing. There is a small divot indicating the back edge of the lid piece and the body. The spigot is sized for standard aquarium pump air hose (3/16"), since I'm trying to keep the whole system as affordable as possible. I printed mine with a .4mm nozzle, and .16mm layers in PLA. Reuse the screws from the stock eyeshield on the SO-2 to attach the new shield. It uses the same lid piece as the other models. I also modified the lid piece for a smaller hole around the middle, so air can't escape through the heatsink now, and more is focused downwards through the cone. Update 1/30/2023 - The lid piece has been redesigned thicker with venting spots to allow the air from the heatsink fan to pass through, where it had been blocked previously. All 3 body models have been made shorter to accommodate the thicker lid piece with no change to overall focal distance
