I designed this 40mm grenade prop, which consists of two parts - the shell and the grenade itself. After extensive testing and development during the late 1950s and early 1960s, it was officially adopted as a standard grenade for use with the M79 grenade launcher. This particular grenade saw heavy action in Vietnam and remains in active service to this day.
