Purchase 20 rocker switches for just US$pi on eBay and discover a smart design that attaches the switch to a 40mm fan without obstructing airflow. To assemble, simply snap the switch into position and connect the wiring. A spacer is included in the middle of the switch to mount it alongside my Adjustable Fan Mount (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:239985). Be aware that attaching the switch to an X carriage may not be ideal for easy on/off operation during printing; a panel version is forthcoming, similar to my printable switch panel (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30348). Trim the switch leads as needed to avoid excess height in the housing. Currently, you can find 20 switches for US$3.14 with shipping on eBay when searching "20 Pcs Boat Rocker Switch".
