Updated: 6/12/15 I fitted a 40 mm fan to the E3D v6. It works flawlessly and was even designed for printing without supports. There are three different models available - one with a fan mount attachment, another without an attachment, and an extra model that includes two fan mounts for dual fans. To secure this in place on my extruder, I used an M3x45 bolt. The results were tight and sturdy. I've also started using the fan itself and can confirm it is very quiet.
