It's a protective shield for a 40mm fan unit. Perfect for computer fans or the cooling systems of 3D printer hotends, this barrier prevents serious injury from getting too close to spinning blades. The thickness is a sturdy 2mm, though you can easily adjust it with your slicer's scale option.
