I modified the original 40mm fan grill to fit over the heat break fan on my Ender 3 using the Hero Me part fan duct. This mod left the fan exposed with no cover, and I grew tired of sticking my fingers into it every time I worked on the X axis or hot end. To secure the fan in place, I added some studs to the back so that it would sit snugly and be properly aligned. You'll need at least three 16mm screws to reach the threads as the stock screws will no longer fit due to the modification.
